Without a doubt, one of the most amazing things about travel is the food. I am pretty adventurous when it comes to ethnic foods unless it's on my allergy list, so it was no different when I visited Paris a few months ago.
My friend and I found this little cafe during our first day in the city. We started a leisurely walk through the neighborhood of Montparnasse exploring cute shops, gorgeous architecture, and ultimately delicious food. It was about noon when we stumbled upon this little gem.
The crowd hadn't yet poured into the place, so we had a few minutes of calm before the lunch rush. There were all types of exotic foods on the menu but I decided to stick to a trusty favorite; the hamburger. This was no ordinary hamburger, it was a Backstage Hamburger. This juicy cut of beef was topped with bacon, duck, lettuce, and tomato then snuggled between a warm buttery bun. OMG - delicious.
We also enjoyed an assortment of breads and classic wine. Before I knew it, the soothing world music and cozy inside took us well into the afternoon. On top of great food, this place had incredible energy.
Most importantly, the meal was reasonably price. I spend $36.50 Euro for my lunch treat.
When in Paris, Backstage Cafe is a must.
