Family Vacation; Where y'all going?

My goal in life is to make everyday a vacation. In my head, I need to be on vacation each and every day of the week. However, my real life dictates things just a bit differently, therefore vacations are planned. Just recently, I went to the warm beaches of Panama and Costa Rica. I've managed to go on a major vacation one a quarter, and I have a personal get-a-way once a month or so.

Because I absolutely love vacationing, I want to hear about your vacations. Where are you going? Have you or you & your family planned something grand? Do you prefer warmer and colder climates?

Let me know. Perhaps I can enjoy your favorite destination as well.

I have not been on a vacation since my kids were born and that was back in 2006 we use to travel all over but it's costly with kids. I prefer warmer climate because I want to be comfortable on my vacation and I hate anything cold although I have been to New York one Christmas.

Orlando, Florida is the best vacation spot I've ever attended i.e. weather, events, atmosphere.

This summer we've traveled to Memphis and New Orleans (Essence Festival). But I wouldn't consider either as a "vacation."

So far we have been to the cabins and Miami and will soon be going to Destin, Fl & Mississippi to the casino but I want to go out of the country!!!!

Wow those are gorgeous places to go to!! I wish I could take vacations as often... lately it's been once a year :( I just went to Chicago over the summer, hopefully I can sneak another trip in before year end :)

Every year we have an annual family vacation somewhere. Last year we went to Las Vegas, the year before was Puerto Rico, and this year we went to Tybee Island off the coast of Savannah Georgia. We always go in the summer when the kids are out of school. However, we're thinking about taking a trip in December to Tennessee to stay in their log cabins.....we'll see.

Lame as this sounds, I am on a staycation this week. Too much stuff to do around my place, and not having to go to the office is a real vacation. LOVE the new header btw!

We went to DC this year. I am from there but it doubled as a vacation because my husband had not been there. We take an annual couples trip to the mountains so I am looking forward to that in the fall
