A few weeks ago, I entered and WON a Longhorn Steakhouse give-a-way hosted by The Cubicle Chick. Though there was no requirement to link back, I always like to show my appreciation with a post.
I've been pretty busy lately with work, more work, and a few outside projects, so it took me a week or so to use the gift card. I finally had to chance to take a break in between projects to snag a bit of lunch.
Lunch time on a Saturday in and around Atlanta can be pretty busy; therefore I opted for a Longhorn Steakhouse in Douglasville. Douglasville a small city right outside of Southwest Atlanta. As I figured, the crowd was pretty small therefore I received good service and fast.
It was my greatest intention to order the Grilled White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms and a salad but the salad turned into the Black & Blew Burger with rice pilaf instead.
As you'll notice, the "dressings" are on the side because hot vegetables really aren't my thing. It was my first time getting the Black & Bleu burger; I'll give it an 8 out of 10. I think I would have enjoyed it better if the Bleu Cheese crumbles weren't melted. The rice pilaf was ok. It didn't seem fresh, more like leftovers from the night before. The rice pilaf was also a bit too salty. As always, I loved the stuffed mushrooms; they are a serving of food on their own.
I am a fan of Longhorn Steakhouse anyway, so I will be back.
PS. For dessert, I had a bit of bread 'n butter.
